Heart-Opening
Cacao Ceremony
The Cacao is a sacred plant used as a Medicine by the indigenous people of the Americas for millennia. It is recognized for it heart-opening and healing qualities.
A Cacao ceremony is a sacred gathering in which everyone connects to their hearts and experiences new life through the healing qualities of cacao. For the Mayan people, cacao is used as a rebirthing medicine, helping people release emotional suffering, get rid of negativity and experience unconditional LOVE.
During my travel to Guatemala, I discovered the Mayan Sacred Cacao Ceremony of Nana Marina Cruz and her Mayan family. Nana Marina is a powerful Ceremonial Leader of fire, tobacco and Cacao. She is known globally for her dedication to sharing the ancestral wisdom. It was a ceremony of an uncommon Beauty and Purity. I have attended many other ceremonies and received a calling to share it. I am very happy to spread it, by inviting you to a Sacred Cacao Ceremony with respect to the traditions.
We gather in circle, set our intentions and bring what we cherish in a shared middle such as crystals, oracle cards, sage, flowers, fruits, encense…before starting our ceremony.
Usually the ceremony lasts for about 2 hours, and includes:
- The Sacred Cacao Medicine
A Breathing exercice
- A Guided meditation
- Sharing Circle time
- Alone time & journaling
- Occasionally some Chantings
- Occasionally some Dancing
Each Ceremony is unique and differs depending on the energy of the group.
The Cacao used in Ceremony is the Organic high-quality raw ceremonial grade Cacao made by a Collective of Mayan Women in the little village of San Marcos la Laguna, Guatemala which I am profoundly attached to. ⠀
